I haven't written here because dA has been far from my focus. Since I've submitted some things recently, though, I must strongly state that there's no point in looking at my images anywhere between thumbnail and full view, because of my focus on texture and detail. Have you read the short story "The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster? I think it's possibly the most influential thing I've ever read, particularly with respect to my privileging of aesthetic richness.

Not sure quite how you mean it, of course... I'm certainly fascinated with textures and gradations of value, but I don't mess with them much these days!
